EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
Put another way, EMDR is a therapeutic process that creates space for a therapist to help ‘unlock’ traumatic memories that may be stored in the mind and body of an individual and through a series of processes, is able to free the individual from being constantly ‘retriggered’ by the event or moment.
